A few short steps away is simply the most stunning beach you could ever imagine.

This guest house is dreamy. Comfortable, private, modern, clean and cosy and that’s not even the best part! A few short steps away is simply the most stunning beach you could ever imagine. We were greeted by a manatee on our first afternoon stroll and the wildlife just kept coming, dolphins swimming with us (even a baby dolphin!) sting rays, hummingbirds, needlefish, not to mention the local cat named Jerry who was just the very best boy. There were two amazing spots for snorkelling; one right off the point and another just to the north towards the resort. We stayed for two weeks at the beginning of December and it was still very quiet, rarely anyone else on the beach, we had near complete privacy. The house was a pleasure to come home to after a day of beaching, nice bathroom with fresh and fluffy towels, a comfortable bed and sheets and perfectly dark and quiet for a sound nights sleep. Our queries were answered promptly and we felt very well taken care of by the host. We will be back.

The location of this cottage is great - you have access to a great beach right in your backyard. And the sea breeze is relaxing. The road there is bumpy, but it feels a bit like an adventure to get there. It was quiet, private, and all the furnishings were nice and modern. Duran, along with the on-island hosts Jimmy and Cheryl, were all communicative and ensured we had a great stay. Looking forward to our next visit.

We had a fabulous 6 night stay at this property. The beach is out of this world, absolutely picture perfect. The house is perfect for a couple and is nicely furnished, the photos is a true representation. Very good WiFi speed. It has a full kitchen which comes in very handy as restaurant on the island is limited and food expensive. You will have a wonderful stay here. Check in and all communication was very easy. Definitely hire a car as you will be very limited and feel stuck without. Bring very strong insect spray!

Amazing Location

Wonderful little guest house! A few feet from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world at Cape Santa Maria. House is super cozy and comfortable, so is the perfect base of operations for your trip to Long Island. Hosts were amazing as well, very responsive and kind.

Great location, one house behind the beach, very clean and cozy, unbelievable clean ocean with close access to Cape Santa Maria Resort (10 minute drive) that serves great lunches. The sofa bed is a typical sofa bed and not firm at all, so be prepared to sleep in a very soft sofa bed if needed.

Relax and unwind in paradise

After a stressfull period, we decided to go to The Bahamas. We just wanted to relax, get new energy and calm down. And exactly that happened!! The cottage is located in a very quiet, private zone of Long Island. A big, white sandy beach is in front of the door, crystal clear, turquoise water waits for you to take a swim. Shadow is provided naturally by trees on the beach. There are a lot of small reefs right in front of the door where you can snorkel and enjoy the beauty of nature. Incredible! We saw stingrays and sea turtles passing by, a big variation of reef fish and corals. The sunset at the cottage is one of the most beautiful we ever saw. The cottage is really cozy and painted in stunning colours. There is airconditioning in the living area and bedroom, a washing mashine and tumbler. Beach towels and chairs are provided for guests, too. There is really everything you need. As we were there in low season and didn't want to drive too far for dining, we decided to cook most of the time in the cottage that facilitated all our needs for cooking. Long Island is not as touristic as other islands. There are several hotels and restaurants but as we were there in low season not everything was open. We definitely recommend to hire a car to be flexible and independent to see all the beauty of the island, e.g. Columbus Point, Deans Blue Hole, Hamilton's Cave, Shrimp Hole, Farmers Market, Flying Fish Marina (beware of the sharks :-) )... There are many activities you can do. Scuba diving, bone fishing or visiting the swimming pigs. We went diving with Captain Delbert and had a blast. It was incredible, though the sea was a bit rough that day. We certainly will be back! Do yourself a favour and stay at the Pinta. You won't regret it.
